Overview
This line of work applies the same principles of contact and force control from the aerial manipulation research to a different problem: gripping food. Granular and delicate food materials are difficult for robotic end-effectors to handle — too much force damages the product, too little drops it.
The result was an evaluation system for benchmarking different end-effector designs on food-handling tasks, plus a ROS 2-based pick-and-place system for granular-material handling.
